We select a limited number of applicants, and we share the details only at our info sessions.

A Sector Manager is responsible for the whole operation, not one piece of it. Three areas make up the role, and we go through each in detail at the info session.
Sales and marketing
Win new business, build your own pipeline, and close the deal. You create your own opportunities through outreach and local marketing.
Team leadership
Build, train, and lead your team. Set the standard for safety and quality, and hold everyone to it every day.
Operations
Schedule the work, manage materials, prepare payroll, and own your profit and loss. You learn how the numbers work because they are yours.

NextGen Business Leaders was started by Hayden Melino, a UMass Amherst finance student who ran a sector as a student manager. He wrote the estimates, closed the contracts, found the customers, and led the team.
The playbook you are trained on is the one that produced those results: sales, marketing, leading a team, scheduling, pricing, and managing the numbers. You are mentored along the way, so you are not guessing your way through a first summer.

We share the full program, including territories, training, and what a season looks like, only in person. It lets us meet every candidate, and it lets you decide with all the facts.

Yes. NextGen is a business development program built around mentorship. You learn from people who have run a sector themselves, and you have someone to turn to as you build yours.
Do I need internship experience?
Not necessarily. You will be trained on pricing, selling, scheduling, and leading a team. What we look for is drive, coachability, and the willingness to talk to people.
Why do I have to attend an info session?
The full details of the program are shared only in person. It also gives us the chance to meet you before anything else happens.
